Lots of This 'n' That!

My witch friend is spying on me from behind my parlor doors; gazing clear across the foyer into my kitchen...probably because she knows that's where I'll be!

We had a nice weekend and the weather was beautiful. As a matter of fact, it is going to be lovely all week with temps in the high 60's and at night down to the 40's! Love it!  Over the weekend it was a little warmer, and we started to get some of our party supplies and pumpkins!

Lots to choose from! This will be one of three trips planned for pumpkins and Fall foliage viewing! I just can't get enough! We went through an amazing corn maze where my mischevious husband gave people the wrong directions (!) so that they got more lost .....he said it makes it more fun for them. The jury is still out on that one :)

Then we went on a great hayride on a wagon...my son remarked that our family is on some type of wagon/buggy/cart that is being pulled by either a tractor or a horse at least four times a year between going to Amish country and to farms on our North Fork which is probably more than most average families living in suburbia!I reminded him we are not "average" :)  we are a little different. Such as..I would like to find this beauty below under my Christmas tree this year:

There's a good chance I won't be getting it though :(    He doesn't fit in Santa's sleigh. Speaking of animals, when we saw the sheep and alpacas, Caitlin said this alpaca had a Justin Bieber haircut:

I think she was right. My angel face is the best hula hooper around, btw.

Back to our fun day, my husband has secured me another great stove!

It's on his new job site and is actually still functioning but is now disconnected and will remain so. It needs a lot of clean up but that's no problem. She has beautiful detail on the sides and is really in good shape! That made Sunday even more special! We ended the day with a great dinner at Joe's Crab Shack! What a cool place and delicious food!

Here's Caitlin in her bib! My son would not let me photograph him :(

Have to get one last witch in the post! This is in my family room!

Have a super Tuesday!

  1. Looks like the perfect weekend with all those outdoor activities and yummy food. I'm hoping to start pulling out Halloween decorations this weekend. I love your witch blowmold! It's homecoming this week at the high school and between the varsity football game Friday night and a bunch of extra girls primping at the house on Saturday, I might have to wait until Sunday to unearth decorations! I'm feeling behind.

  2. I haven't seen a witch blowmold like yours...cute! I collect Halloween and Christmas blowmolds. I sometimes have them all lit up on the porch. They sell cords with a lightbulb on the end...so even the oldest most decrepit scarecrow can light up the night! You had the perfect fall weekend!
