Caitlin and I decorated the windows and the front door sidelights.
We even redid a little Autumn rake that we have had for many years!
I also took out some of the Fall arrangements I have made.
And remember those greens I got from the nature preserve that I sprayed with acrylic?
They will last nicely! I'm a little crooked with the picture taking today! Sorry!
And if you love Fall the way I do, and believe it is a state of mind!, as I do, then you will understand why I like to see leaves when I do my dishes!
My little friends below are waiting patiently for more boxes to come out.
In the meantime, I picked up this magazine yesterday and loved it! I had never seen this one. It's not that there were so many new ideas but what I liked was that there was nothing difficult. Nothing too time consuming and complicated. I lose interest in a craft or recipe that takes too much thinking!
I picked this vintage cookbook up for Caitlin. From 1957. She loves to cook with me and wants to do it more and more. She was flipping through it and looking for recipes to make.
She found a Pumpkin Face Cake. I think we'll be adding this to our Halloween Menu!
Have a wonderful day!
Lovely Maggie.......wishing I had all my decorating done, just to many irons in the fire.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
Keep the decoration ideas coming. My leaves keep falling off my windows above my fireplace mantle. What's your trick for making them stick to glass?
ReplyDeletetiny pieces of transparent tape!
ReplyDeleteYay yay for fall! Your leaves look so good on the glass!
ReplyDeleteAnd I especially love the rake!
Enjoy your new magazine!

ReplyDeletefull speed ahead for fall as far as i am concerned!
ReplyDeleteI just love the way the leaves look on the windows! I may have to do this this year.. I bet they look so pretty when the sun is shinning in :-) Thank you for your sweet words on my blog post this morning :-) It made me smile.. Don't you just love the colors of red on the sunflowers?? I have some blooming with a redish orangeish tint and yellow around the edges.. They were a surprise for me, I had bought a mixed bag of sunflower seeds off of ebay and it didn't tell you what kind were in there so as they are blooming I am amazed at all the different ones.. I will be harvesting their seeds as they go to seed.. I will send you some when I am done collecting them so you can have some for next years garden :-) I loved your idea of a Halloween garden and am planning one for next year!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so wonderful!! I just love all your fall decorating. I am working on mine today, I can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!!
