It's Monday! Time to wake up and get the day started! This was a weekend I wish never had to end. Two wonderful days. Not only did I have a great Saturday at two craft fairs with some special ladies but then my husband surprised the kids and I with a lovely day planned for Sunday. Now understand that he loves doing things and going most places but usually I am the one who does the planning. Always! and that's fine cause I love to plan but what a super surprise when I found out he made a whole plan for our Sunday including reservations without ever mentioning it to me! It just made it even more special!
When I came home from the craft fairs on Saturday, he met me at the house from one of his appointments and we did a lil' Christmas shopping. At dinner he told Billy, Caitlin, and I to be ready in the morning to pick out our Christmas tree and then have brunch at The Three Village Inn with Santa! This is a special event that is just amazing and one of my favorite places to go but it's like a special occasion type place! The Inn is from 1751, so of course it's everything I love, and it was beautifully decorated.
Carolers walked through the dining rooms singing Christmas songs and we had a beautiful table right next to the fireplace!
Oh my goodness the brunch was amazing! Everything from breakfast foods to a carving station and seafood!
Santa came from table to table and chatted with all the families.
Here are some photos of the Inn. It's such a beautiful place to visit and it's not far from from my home at all.
This is the foyer and they have antiques displayed and lots of Christmas greens made the room smell so heavenly!
My son enjoyed himself and even let me take a few pictures with him in them! Yippee!
Just a wonderful brunch!
After the brunch we took a walk through Stonybrook village which had more carolers, some Christmas characters and beautiful manger scenes.
Before we went to the Three Village Inn, we did get our Christmas tree and when we got home we decorated the tree for the rest of the evening.
It was such a magical day and I thank my husband, who is one of the hardest working men you'll ever meet, for planning this special day for us! As for my wonderful Saturday at the craft fairs, well I'll show you all my great goodies next post! Hope your day is filled with Christmas spirit!
Your tree is amazing and what a great thing your hubby did for all of you... he's a keeper.
ReplyDeleteMaggie, what a wonderful way to spend the weekend! I'm jealous...we cleaned tubs and toilets and went to see a horrible movie about horrible bosses. I was hoping the projector would die and we could go home! But it sounds like you have a sweetie for a husband. Actually our weekend wasn't a total loss, we did go to brunch with friends. I must be a glass is half-empty kind of gal. =D
