Good Morning! Happy Valentine's Day weekend! The Northeast is in a deep freeze--our temps are at near 0 and the wind chills make it even colder. February is like that! Enjoying my Valentine tree for another day or two before it transforms into Easter. Wow! Hard to believe that Easter is almost here.
I have actually seen daffodils and hyacinth plants in the supermarkets but I can't bring myself to buy them cause it just feels like Spring is MONTHS away!!!! Maybe when this deep freeze ends.
I received some lovely Valentine ornaments in the mail to add to my tree. I just love them!
School is closed for a week ---Winter Recess as of Monday. Caitlin and I have some plans with friends and we are also working on her science fair board. We are doing density tests and layered liquids. In the end, our graduated cylinder looks like a rainbow of liquids!
That's about if for me! Making a big pot of corned beef and cabbage and red potatoes for dinner tonight. I think I need to make a cake today too. Cold weather makes me want to cook!

ReplyDeleteI like to cook too when its very wintery outside! this weekend I made pie and cookies on saturday, along with a big pot of vegetable beef soup and homemade bread. Then on sunday I made a huge pan of lasagna and meatballs and sausage with garlic bread. Today there are enough left overs for the week and still pie and cookies even though I gave most of the cookie away... so I dont think I'll be cooking... just drinking lots of tea!
