I spent yesterday taking down the Halloween decorations; carefully packing them up for next year. I was exhausted. 15 tubs and and an assortment of bags all in the shed ...I was pooped. It's sad but joyful for me as I love Halloween, but I do embrace the entire Fall season and adore Thanksgiving! Caitlin was sad to put our three cackling witches away; she wants them in the foyer all year long! But once she saw the turkeys and pilgrims and all the other Thanksgiving treasures she was excited to see them. I just love Thanksgiving. I did keep out some Halloween items as my Halloween crafting goes on all year! I'll be looking to see what great crafts all my blogging friends are doing for Thanksgiving and Christmas too!
Remember that great garage sale I went to a few weeks back? Well, I get to use some of those Thanksgiving buys for decorating. I'll show you where I how them displayed once I'm all done.
I think I'll have another cup of coffee and get rolling!I have some more spiffing up to do around this house before I can fully decorate. The temps are dropping too. It's going to be cold here tonight! 29 degrees. I think I may need to make some soup today!
i decorate more for fall than for halloween so it takes nothing at all to take a few witch down, replace them with pilgrims and turkeys and i am good to go for thanksgiving. i am getting lazy in my old age!
ReplyDeleteI love your ceramic turkeys. I rarely find any pretty Fall items but I look for them all year long. And I craft all year long, too. I'm enjoying your blog, too! Sweet hugs!
ReplyDeleteChris and I spent most of today packing up Halloween. We're only half way done. I need a fairy godmother to finish it up. Happy November! Happy Thanksgiving decorating!!
ReplyDeleteIt sure is more fun putting out the decorations than it is putting them away! Happy Monday!!
ReplyDeleteI'm still packing away the outdoor Halloween decorations, and I've put up my turkey blow molds, but it's SO tempting to start decorating for Christmas! You've got some great Thanksgiving decorations, and I especially like that pancake mix tin. Happy decorating!
