July Days

July it kind of feels like you just arrived and it's almost time for you to leave us already! That was sure fast. July went by like the speed of light. August I hope you plan to stay a while cause September 3 school reopens and I'm in no rush to send the kids back! I'm going to do my best to savor some of the August days and do some of the last things we had planned cause when Fall arrives we are busy, busy, busy. I feel like it's my season -the Fall, that is. We need some more porch time, garden time and lazy time!

I visited a few thrift stores the other day and they were mostly a fail. Some of them have gotten very expensive and most just did not have anything interesting.I think I'm gonna stick with my little favorite who never lets me down!  My only purchases were some Mary Moos...

And a couple of adorable Easter figures which are really, really cute.

I've been loving all things cow for quite a while now...is it because of our new cat Miss Molly Moo Moo...

She and her brother Jinxie have made themselves at home here so nicely. We have them since May 1st. They are sweet and loving and have helped us heal over our loss of our beloved Robin. Missy Moo or Moo Moo as we call her LOVES my husband and gives him 100% attention, which he just loves!

My cow wreath:

Cows and chickens and billy goats... LOVE THEM! Ever since we came home from Pennsylvania I've been playing in the house with what I bought and arranging and rearranging stuff--which is my favorite thing to do anyway besides cooking and crafting. Play house..

So here is where the Mary Moo's went...they are sharing some space with some vintage chickens and roosters..

Picked up these sweet birds at Michael's for very cheap! The colors are perfect. Love those Michael's clearance sales!

I can play house all day! .......well, not today.....Caitlin has Vacation Bible School this week every day till 12:30 and then we are off to lunch with a friend in Northport.

Have a great day!

  1. It seems like we waited so long for summer to come, and now it's whizzing by! It's been in the 50s here at night and only in the 70s during the day, almost feels like Fall is here, but I'm not ready for Fall just yet. Love your blog header, with that teacup house. I've been fighting the urge all summer, but it really makes me want to start a fairy garden. Today!
    Have a great week,
    Carol

  2. I'm not ready for August to be here. I just want summer to last a few more months. I love the idea of fall decorating, but I'm not ready for crazy work/school schedules. I'm loving our cooler weather though. Makes me wonder what is in store for our winter?

love the molly moos and your little moomoo too! I was just looking at a little black and white kitten yesterday that needs a home and wishing that I didnt have to have any common sense so that I could bring it home. But two kitties are enough and figgy and frannie would not understand if another showed up.... or , would they?! lol! well, if they did, hubby wouldnt! lol.
anyways.. have fun playing house and enjoy your days!
